Mathieu De Backer
Mathieu joined Avery Dennison in 2000 and has worked in a number of different roles across commercial, operations and innovation, and has been instrumental in building RBIS business capabilities across woven, adhesive, ink innovation and intelligent labels. Most recently, Mathieu has led the strategic innovation project developing the solution portfolio for more integrated RFID technology in the apparel segment. He has been building up the segment innovation platform for Avery Dennison Smartrac. Prior to joining Avery Dennison Mathieu was responsible for product development and market trends at Sofinal. Mathieu is an Applied Economist with a Masters in Marketing from the University of Ghent, he is also fluent in Italian, French, Dutch and English.
